A Ginger Bread Cafe Christmas | Review

I loved the first novella in this one, I found it to be sweet and very cute. I couldn't get enough of this one. 

The second one was pretty average, though, I found that the vibes were a little off, but I'm unsure if it was because of a certain character or just in general.

 All I have to say about the third one it that I couldn't get through it. It wasn't great, though I did skip to the end to get an Idea of what went on, it was still just utterly tiresome. 


I guess this one just wasn't my jam. Unfortunately just 2 stars on Goodreads this time. Was hoping for something a little more from this little Christmas book.

• What book would you make everyone read? 

Winter's Snow by Carrie Fletcher ( it's a short story, read On The Other Side first), as it's very cute and extends the previous book nicely and is the most recent book on my favourites shelf.

• What would you abolish about book construction?

Comparing books to other popular books. For example Divergent and The Hunger Games, though in some respects are similiar, but I hate it when they make you expect one thing and it's too different and really dissapointing. 

• What author would you commission to write any book?

I think if Ransom Riggs and J.K Rowling wrote a book together it would be pretty wicked right? (can I answer a question with a question?)

• What book would you demote to the library basement to make room for new books?

Divergent.  #sorrynotsorry

• What cover artist would you commission to make a mural? 

I love the artists who did Tales Of The Peculiar and Shock Of The Fall, they're both so damn pretty.

• What characters face would you put on a coin?

Hmm, good question. Maybe Delores Umbridge, if only because she'd make a great coin (if not Dumbledore just because Dumbledore).

• What book would you award "Ruler of books" 2016 ruler of books to? 

Probably Love From Boy by Roald Dahl, since it's one of my favourite books this year and one of the only non-fiction reads too.

The Christmasaurus | Review

The Christmasaurus is by Tom Fletcher and is published by Penguin.

This book is about a young boy called William and a Dinosaur called the Christmasaurus finding each other and themselves.

As you can tell the story was very Christmassy and was very cute, including the illustrations which were incredible and was interesting throughout.

The pacing was reasonable and I found the book to be just complex enough for the age range it was aimed at.

I found the writing to be very simple and easy to read, making it a lot easier and much quicker to read. The dialogue was simple, but it helped the story along a lot and made it as good as it can be.

Most of the characters were loveable and were fun to read about. I loved William, his dad and Santa throughout. Though there is 2 character here that you won't like, one being a villain and the other being on the naughty list, but eventually you get to understand this character.

Overall a great book with a 4-star rating on Goodreads. I will read more by this author and can definitely
 recommend to all ages.

Billy & Me | Review

So in this book, Sophie meets gorgeous actor Billy, but now she has to deal with love, loss and heartbreak whilst being thrust into the limelight.

I found this to be very easy to read and very quick to get into. It was interesting throughout and never got bored.

The writing was very good and was very quick and easy to read. It helped everything to be as good as it possibly could be.

I found most characters to be relatable and think Sophie and Billy were interesting and fun. There was some scenes in the book that did irritate me with what they'd say within the book, but liked them overall. Molly was also a great character and was loveable all the way through. Though at the end, you do get very emotional over her.

Overall a great read and I gave it 3.5 stars overall. I will definitely be reading more by this author and can recommend for sure.
